The first problem with obesity in America is that it affects children, adolescents, adults and seniors. In all age groups, obesity rates have been rising over the past few decades. The second problem with obesity in America is that it affects people from all races and socioeconomic backgrounds. The prevalence of obesity among African-Americans, Hispanics and American Indians or Alaska Natives is higher than for any other race or ethnic group in the U.S., but there are also pockets of high-obesity rates among whites as well as low-obesity rates among some groups within these populations. The third problem with obesity in America is that it contributes to increased health care costs, reduced life expectancy and poor quality of life. Obesity is a complex issue with many contributing factors. Obesity rates in the United States, on average, have been rising over the past few decades. The first problem with obesity in America is that it affects children, adolescents, adults and seniors. In all age groups, obesity rates have been increasing steadily for many years. Not to mention, obesity increases the risk of serious illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke and cancer.

The Problem with the Average American's Diet

The average American diet is not healthy. With the increase in processed food, fast food and pre-packaged food, Americans are eating a lot of unhealthy foods. This has led to an increase in diabetes and obesity rates which have major implications on the healthcare system. This section will discuss the problem with the average American's diet and also what solutions might be available to help solve this problem. In the United States, people are eating more processed food and fast food than ever before. The average American diet is made up of over 70% of highly processed foods. These highly processed foods include packaged cookie dough, meal replacement bars, pre-made salads with added sugar or fat-containing dressings in a package that cannot be found on its own anywhere else.

Keeping up with a fitness and lifestyle habit is essential to achieving weight loss goals. In order to lose weight, it is important to eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly. There are many different types of exercises that you can do, but cardio is the most popular. Cardio exercises include running, walking, biking, or any type of exercise that gets your heart rate up for at least 20 minutes. The healthy diet consists of lean protein sources like chicken breast or fish and vegetables such as broccoli or spinach. It also includes complex carbohydrates like whole wheat breads, brown rice, oats, etc., and unsaturated fats like olive oil or avocado.
